Proper nutrition is the best we can give our skin. And mesotherapy is a kind of “IV” for special tasks. When your skin is dehydrated, dry or earthy, damaged by the sun, smoking cigarettes or acne, has non-uniform colour or even discolourations, you should give it a vitamin cocktail. Multitude of preparations makes application of mesotherapy practically unlimited. It can be performed on the face, neckline, neck, palms, the area around the navel, the inner side of arms and thighs. It is also recommended for scalp against hair loss and to improve general hair condition, as well as to reduce local adipose tissue (e.g. in the chin) or to remove cellulite.
Depending on the needs preparations containing hyaluronic acid or cocktails composed, in addition to acid, of vitamins, inorganic salts, trace elements, caffeine or glycerine are used in needle mesotherapy.
The procedure involves a series of needle punctures of the skin, performed by a doctor, into superficial layers of the skin during which a properly selected formulation is injected with a syringe or special gun. The procedure is not particularly painful but may be preceded by application of an anaesthetic cream (for 30 minutes prior to punctures).
The duration of the procedure is 30 – 60 minutes (depending on the area to be injected).
Afterwards the doctor applies a UV filter to the skin. You should not use the sauna and solarium, as well as make-up on the day of the procedure. Adverse reactions may include minor haematoma and skin redness that will last for a few days.
Mesotherapy treatments are most effective when performed in series. The frequency depends on the condition of the skin, the effect that we want to obtain and of course the financial capacity of the patient. As a rule, it is recommended that you do three sessions every 2 weeks, then 3 each month and then 1-2 times a year. The effect, however, is visible immediately. Already after the first procedure, the skin becomes firmer, oxygenated and smoothed.
