What are the treatments and what do they look like?
Neck lift
The procedure focuses on the neck and involves removing excess skin and fat, resulting in the smoothing of wrinkles and improved contour. Incisions are usually hidden behind the ears and in the hairline, reducing the visibility of scars.
Temporal facelift
This type of facelift focuses on the upper part of the face, particularly around the temples and outer corners of the eyes. The procedure involves lifting sagging tissue, which smooths out wrinkles and raises the eyebrows. The incisions are usually hidden in the hairline, making the scars almost invisible.
Mini Facelift
This type of facelift focuses on the upper part of the face, particularly around the temples and outer corners of the eyes. The procedure involves lifting sagging tissue, which smooths out wrinkles and raises the eyebrows. The incisions are usually hidden in the hairline, making the scars almost invisible.
How to prepare for the treatments?
The first and most important stage is a discussion of expectations, assessment of health, and qualification for surgery by the surgeon. Only then can diagnostic tests be performed.
A few days before the procedure, you should stop taking blood-thinning medication after consulting your doctor. It is recommended to limit or stop drinking alcohol and smoking at least one week before the operation to aid the healing process. In the case of general anesthesia, the last meal should be eaten 8-10 hours before the procedure.
Recovery after treatments
Recovery time depends on the type of procedure.
Cervical and Temporal Face Lift - swelling and bruising may persist for 2-3 weeks. It is recommended to wear a special tourniquet and avoid intense exercise for about a month. Sutures are removed after 7-10 days.
Mini Face Lift - due to its less invasive nature, the healing time is shorter. Patients often return to their daily activities after 1-2 weeks, but the full effects are visible after a few months.
Contraindications to performing the treatments
Major contraindications include uncompensated cardiovascular conditions, elevated blood pressure, and blood clotting disorders. Also excluded are autoimmune diseases like lupus, which can affect the healing process, active skin infections in the area of the planned surgery. Surgical procedures are contraindicated during pregnancy.
