Post-pregnancy abdomen

Post-pregnancy abdomen refers to changes in the skin, subcutaneous tissue, muscles, and abdominal wall that may remain after childbirth. They may include skin laxity, stretch marks, excess fatty tissue, diastasis of the rectus abdominis muscles, or a cesarean section scar. The extent of changes is individual and depends on, among other things, the course of pregnancy, childbirth, genetics, and tissue regeneration. If there is pain, abdominal bulging, or suspected muscle diastasis, a specialist consultation is advisable.
