Adolescent acne

Adolescent acne is a common form of acne appearing during puberty, related, among other things, to hormonal changes, increased sebum secretion, and blockage of hair follicle openings. It can include comedones, papules, pustules, and sometimes deeper inflammatory lesions. It most often occurs on the face, back, and chest. It should not be underestimated if it is severe, painful, or leaves marks. Early dermatological consultation helps choose safe management and reduce the risk of scarring.
