AHA acid

AHA acid refers to a group of alpha-hydroxy acids used in cosmetology and dermatology for superficial exfoliation of the epidermis. This group includes, among others, glycolic, lactic, mandelic, and citric acid. AHA acids can support skin smoothing, improvement of its texture, and reduction of some discoloration, depending on the concentration and method of use. Not every skin tolerates acids well, so their use should be discussed with a specialist in the case of sensitive, couperose, or irritated skin.
