Breasts after breastfeeding

Breasts after breastfeeding are breasts whose appearance and feel may change after lactation ends. Some patients observe loss of volume, ptosis, skin laxity, stretch marks, asymmetry, or a change in nipple shape. These changes are related to hormonal fluctuations, tissue stretching, individual skin elasticity, and changes in body weight. If pain, a lump, redness, one-sided discharge, or persistent swelling appear after breastfeeding, medical consultation is necessary.
