Burns
Burns are injuries to the skin or deeper tissues caused by high temperature, chemical substances, electric current, radiation, or friction. They can manifest as redness, pain, blisters, swelling, sensory disturbances, or tissue necrosis. The extent of damage depends on the depth, surface area, and location of the burn. Extensive, deep, chemical, electrical burns, or those involving the face, hands, feet, genitals, and airways require urgent medical help.
