Dermabrasion is a procedure involving the mechanical exfoliation of the superficial layers of the skin in order to even out its structure. It may be considered for, among other things, certain scars, skin unevenness, post-acne changes, or selected types of discoloration. The extent of the effect depends on the depth of exfoliation and individual skin characteristics. It is not a suitable procedure for every dermatological problem, so qualification should be preceded by a specialist consultation and an assessment of indications and contraindications.
