Eczema
Eczema is a general term for an inflammatory skin condition that can manifest as redness, itching, dryness, flaking, cracking, or oozing lesions. It is not a single disease, but a group of symptoms occurring, among others, in atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, or irritant dermatitis. The severity of eczema may depend on irritating factors, allergies, infections, stress, and the condition of the skin's protective barrier. Identifying the cause and choosing treatment require a dermatological consultation.
