"Watery" cellulite
"Watery" cellulite is a colloquial term for skin unevenness related mainly to fluid retention in tissues and microcirculation disturbances. It most often affects the thighs, buttocks, hips, and abdomen. The skin may feel swollen, tight, or less smooth, and symptoms may worsen periodically, e.g. before menstruation, after prolonged sitting, or with high salt intake. Watery cellulite is not a medical diagnosis, so persistent swelling or pain requires medical consultation.
