Facial asymmetry
Facial asymmetry refers to a visible difference in the structure or arrangement of the right and left sides of the face. A slight asymmetry is natural and occurs in most people, but larger differences may involve the bones, muscles, soft tissues, bite, or the position of the eyebrows, eyelids, or lips. Causes may include congenital features, injuries, procedures, the aging process, or neurological conditions. Assessing asymmetry requires an individual consultation, especially when it appears suddenly or worsens quickly.
