Facial contour
The facial contour is the outline of the face, visible especially in the area of the cheeks, jawline, chin, and neck. Its appearance depends on bone structure, the distribution of fatty tissue, muscle tension, skin quality, and the aging process. Over time, the contour may become less defined, among other things due to skin laxity, tissue sagging, or a change in facial volume. Assessment of the facial contour should cover the entire face and neck, and any possible management requires a specialist consultation.
