Hair loss in women

Hair loss in women is excessive thinning or loss of hair, which can have many causes. It may be related to genetic predisposition, hormonal changes, pregnancy, the postpartum period, menopause, thyroid disease, deficiencies, stress, medications, or scalp conditions. It often manifests as a widening parting, reduced hair density, or increased shedding while washing and combing. Determining the cause requires a dermatological or trichological consultation and, if indicated, additional tests.
