Lipomastia
Lipomastia is an enlargement of the chest area in men resulting mainly from an accumulation of fatty tissue rather than growth of the mammary gland. It may be related to body weight, distribution of fatty tissue, genetic predisposition, or changes in body shape. In practice, it needs to be distinguished from gynecomastia, i.e. enlargement of the mammary gland. Assessment should include a medical examination and, if necessary, imaging or hormonal diagnostics, especially when the change is painful, one-sided, or rapidly increasing.
