Nipples

Nipples are the central part of the nipple–areola complex, through which the milk ducts open in women. Their appearance, size, shape, and position may naturally vary. Particular concern should be raised by sudden or one-sided changes, such as nipple retraction, bloody discharge, ulceration, a change in skin color, or asymmetry developing over time. In such situations, medical consultation is necessary, as assessment requires a specialist examination and possibly imaging diagnostics.
