Papular acne
Papular acne is a form of acne in which small, raised inflammatory papules predominate, usually without visible purulent content. Lesions can appear on the face, back, chest, or arms and often co-occur with comedones and excessive sebum secretion. Papules result from inflammation within hair follicles and sebaceous glands. They should not be squeezed, as this can worsen irritation and promote scarring. Treatment requires a dermatological consultation.
