Rosacea

Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory disease of the facial skin, most often affecting the cheeks, nose, chin, and forehead. It can manifest as episodic or persistent erythema, visible small blood vessels, burning, skin hypersensitivity, papules, and pustules. Some patients also experience ocular symptoms, such as irritation, dryness, or redness of the eyes. Aggravating factors can be individual and may include sun, alcohol, stress, or changes in temperature. Diagnosis and treatment require a dermatological consultation.
