Saddlebags (outer thigh fat)
Saddlebags on the thighs is a colloquial term for localized accumulation of fatty tissue on the outer side of the thighs and hips. It may be related to body build, genetic predisposition, hormonal balance, and the fat distribution typical of a given figure. In some people they are visible despite a normal body weight and physical activity. Saddlebags are not a disease, but they can affect body proportions and patient comfort. Choosing management requires an individual assessment.
