Epidermoid cysts ("kaszaki") is a colloquial name for epidermoid or sebaceous cysts, i.e. benign lesions filled with keratinous or sebaceous material. They most often occur on the face, neck, trunk, scalp, or behind the ears. They usually appear as a movable lump under the skin that can slowly enlarge. If a cyst becomes painful, red, grows quickly, ruptures, or discharges content, it requires medical consultation. It should not be removed on one's own due to the risk of inflammation.
