Smoker's lines
Smoker's lines is a colloquial term for the fine, vertical wrinkles appearing around the mouth, especially above the upper lip. Their name refers to the movement of pursing the lips while smoking, but similar lines can also occur in non-smokers. Their formation is influenced by facial expression, loss of skin elasticity, age, sun exposure, genetics, and tissue quality. Assessment of the wrinkles around the mouth should take into account skin tension, lip volume, and the proportions of the lower face.
