Bruxism
Bruxism is the involuntary clenching or grinding of teeth, most often occurring at night, but also possible during the day. It can lead to enamel wear, jaw muscle pain, facial tension, headaches, tooth hypersensitivity, and temporomandibular joint discomfort. The causes of bruxism can be complex and may include stress, malocclusion, or muscle tension disorders. Diagnosis and choice of management require a dental or specialist consultation.
