What does the treatment look like?
Breast lift with augmentation with implants is a surgical procedure, performed for aesthetic indications, the purpose of which is to give the breasts the right shape and size, as well as to restore their firmness. It is carried out under general anesthesia and involves breast augmentation with implants and proper shaping and lifting of the breasts through appropriate excision of excess skin.
The surgeon makes specialized incisions, which, depending on the technique used, run around the nipple, vertically, and in the inframammary fold (in the shape of an inverted “T”). Then, through an incision in the inframammary fold under the pectoral muscle, an implant of the appropriate shape and size is placed and the mammary gland is formed at the desired height. In addition, the nipple is moved higher to make the breast lift look as natural as possible. The operation is completed with suturing, dressing, and a special compression bra. The entire procedure takes 2-3 hours. The result of the procedure are lifted, enlarged to the desired size and firm breasts.
How to prepare for the procedure?
Breast lift and augmentation procedure with implants requires prior consultation and commissioned tests, based on which the procedure is qualified. During the consultation, the planned procedure is discussed in detail, including determining the type and size of implants and the surgical technique. 4 weeks before the procedure, smoking should be stopped or significantly reduced, and 7 days before the planned date of the procedure, medications that impede blood clotting should be discontinued. You should appear for the procedure on an empty stomach.
What to do after the procedure?
After the procedure, the patient usually stays in the clinic for one day. Immediately after the operation, swelling and pain may occur, which can be relieved with painkillers prescribed by the doctor. The bra should be worn at all times until the stitches are removed, which takes place approximately 10-14 days after the operation. It should then be worn for most of the day for the next 4 weeks. During this time, all physical activity should be kept to a minimum and sudden movements should be avoided. You can usually resume your normal activities after about 10-14 days, and you can gradually return to physical exercise 8 weeks after the operation. The final results of the procedure should be visible after about 6 months.
