Bez kompleksów– Episode 4. The New Ewelina
Ewelina, a 32-year-old from Gorlice, has carried the burden of a single, overwhelming complex her entire life. Her nose—the subject of ridicule in middle school—became a source of exclusion, pain, and constant shame. She was told she looked “like a witch.” Her peers were ruthless: they pushed her around and mocked her until she finally stopped going to school and began skipping classes. Years later, she still instinctively covered her nose when walking down the street. Fear was evident in her gaze, and her movements betrayed an attempt to hide herself. She signed up for the program in the hope that she would finally regain control of her life.
Diagnosis and Action Plan
The first to discuss Ewelina’s case were Dr. Marek Szczyt and Dr. Michał Nawrocki.
Dr Szczyt planned the rhinoplastyDr Szczyt surgical precision, taking into account both Ewelina’s expectations and the natural proportions of her face. The patient prepared her own visualization—this allowed the entire team to better understand her needs.
At first glance, Ewelina’s dental condition did not appear concerning, but Dr. Nawrocki’s trained eye detected bone loss resulting from periodontitis. The patient also had a clearly impaired facial symmetry. At the Nawrocki Clinic, Dr. Nawrocki presented surgical treatment options, but Ewelina declined to undergo such extensive surgery. The team therefore began the smile makeover using other methods: dental cleaning, a dental scan, and a new smile design were performed. At the same time, Ewelina met with a physical therapist who performed a professional facial massage to improve the function of the temporomandibular joints and reduce chronic tension.
The initial results were quick to appear—thanks to the temporary mockups, Ewelina’s smile immediately looked better.
Rhinoplasty — the most important step
The day Ewelina had been looking forward to the most had finally arrived. At Dr. Szczyt’s clinic, she underwent rhinoplasty—the procedure lasted about an hour and a half and went exactly as planned. Dr Szczyt a modern technique for reshaping the cartilage and bone, which shortened the recovery time and reduced bruising.
Her recovery went very well—the cast was removed after ten days, and after three weeks, Ewelina could already see the results of the surgery. Twelve weeks after the surgery, she met with the stylists again—now much more confident, open, and cheerful.
A change that highlighted the protagonist's natural beauty
The makeover began with the hair. Bartosz Bronowicki, a hairstylist, created a highlighted Airtouch style, achieving a seamless transition between the natural roots and the blonde highlights. The color retained its lightness, freshness, and natural look.
Next, Kamila Tadriyan, a makeup artist, showed Ewelina how to naturally define her eyebrows and how to apply a soft, feminine makeup look that complements her new facial shape.
The final stage was handled by Katarzyna Baran. The stylist helped Ewelina choose elegant, feminine outfits that highlighted her best features—including her beautiful, full hips—while discreetly concealing minor flaws in her figure.
The show's finale—the new Ewelina after 10 months
After more than 10 months, we saw Ewelina, who no longer resembled the withdrawn woman from the beginning of the show. With a new smile, a nose job, a fresh hairstyle, makeup, and a well-thought-out look, she looked like a completely new person—but above all, she felt like a new person.
“As our patient demonstrates, the results of the surgery can be spectacular, and I truly believe it will change her life,” concluded Dr. Marek Szczyt.
Ewelina went through this transformation on her own, which gave her tremendous strength. She proved that if she could handle the surgery and the hardships of recovery, she could handle anything. She was reborn and became a woman who can finally look in the mirror bez kompleksów.
