The procedure helps achieve a flat, firm and aesthetically pleasing abdomen, restoring proportion and slenderness to the figure. It is often performed in patients after pregnancy, major weight loss or in those who have developed a stretch of the rectus abdominis muscles (diastasis recti).
The next step to a perfect figure
Abdominal plasty is an operation performed under general anesthesia and usually lasts between 2.5 and 4 hours.
During the procedure, the surgeon makes an incision in the lower part of the abdomen - from one to the other iliac spine, just below the underwear line, so that the surgical scar remains invisible in daily life.
An additional incision is made in the belly button area, which, after removing excess skin and fatty tissue, is set in a new, anatomical location.
The treatment includes:
- Removal of excess skin and fat,
- Muscle coating tension - usually modeling the straight abdominal muscles to achieve a more trim waist,
- Body contouring that restores smooth body lines.
In the case of a small excess of skin, it is possible to perform a so-called miniabdominoplasty - a shorter and less invasive variant of the procedure that does not require displacement of the navel.

Course and convalescence after the procedure
After the operation, the patient or patient remains in the clinic for 2-3 days under the care of medical staff.
Immediately after the operation, the abdomen is swollen and tender, so it is advisable to remain in a slightly reclined position for several days to reduce tension in the wound and accelerate healing.
During the recovery period, Comprehensive Perioperative Care, which includes learning the correct ways to move rest and using kinesitherapy, is crucial. This program shortens the time to return to full function and minimizes the risk of complications.
In addition, it is recommended to participate in a scar elimination program (PSM), which promotes the healing process and improves the aesthetic effect.
Most patients can return to work after about 2 weeks, if it does not require a lot of physical exertion.
You can return to sports activities after 6-8 weeks, and the final aesthetic effect is visible after 6-12 months, when the scar fades and the skin settles completely.
