Thigh lift

Thigh plasty (thigh lift) is a surgical procedure aimed at people who have lost skin firmness and elasticity in the thighs - most often as a result of significant weight loss, natural aging processes or insufficient skin shrinkage after liposuction. The thighs are a body part particularly prone to flabbiness and fat accumulation, and despite physical activity or diet, it is not always possible to restore their dream shape.

The thigh plasty procedure makes it possible to model, slim and firm the legs, restoring their harmonious appearance and proper proportions.

The way to shapely and slim thighs

Thigh plasty (thigh lift) involves surgical removal of excess flabby skin and, if necessary, suctioning out excess fatty tissue.
During the procedure, the surgeon makes precise incisions, the course and length of which are individually tailored to the extent of the operation.
In the case of a small amount of excess skin, the scar is limited to the groin area, while with more flaccid tissue, the incision may run along the inner surface of the thigh - so that it remains as inconspicuous as possible.

The goal of the procedure is to achieve slender, firm and shapely thighs, as well as to improve the proportions of the entire figure. The operation is performed under general or local anesthesia, depending on the extent of the procedure.
After the procedure, a compression bandage is applied to reduce the risk of hematoma and promote healing.

What is the course of recovery like?

After the procedure, the patient remains in the clinic for 1 day for observation. In the first few days, there may be moderate pain, a feeling of skin tightness and swelling - these discomforts are relieved with painkillers.
Most bruising subsides within 10-14 days, while swelling may persist for up to 2-3 months.

After 7-14 days, the sutures are removed, and for the first 2 months you should avoid intense exercise and prolonged sitting with bent knees.
Wearing compression underwear speeds up healing, improves the end result and helps prevent recurrence of skin flaccidity.

FAQ

Answers to frequently asked questions about a variety of treatments and procedures.

Is thigh plastic surgery painful?

No. The procedure is performed under general or local anesthesia, so the patient does not feel pain. After the procedure, slight discomfort is possible, which subsides within a few days.

Do scars remain after the procedure?

Yes, but the surgeon tries to place the incisions in not very visible places - usually in the groin or on the inside of the thighs. Over time, the scars fade and become less visible.

Is the effect of the treatment permanent?

Yes, the results last for many years, as long as the patient maintains a stable body weight and a healthy lifestyle.

Can thigh plasty be combined with other procedures?

Yes. It is often performed in conjunction with liposuction, abdominal plication or buttock lift to achieve full correction of the lower body.

Is it necessary to wear compression garments after the procedure?

Yes, for a minimum of six weeks. This helps healing, prevents swelling and improves the final result of the procedure.
