Thigh lift

Thigh plastics are designed for patients who have lost skin firmness, as a result of major weight changes, "with age" or the skin has not shrunk sufficiently after liposuction. The thighs are one of those body parts that are reluctant to forgive our dietary sins and lack of physical activity. However, even when we devote a lot of time and attention to them, it is difficult to model them the way we would like - some people tend to accumulate fat in the thigh area despite diet and regular exercise. By performing thigh plastic surgery, we can achieve in a short time what we failed to do for years!

The way to shapely and slim thighs

Thigh plasty is a surgical procedure that involves reshaping the shape of the thighs by suctioning out fatty tissue and removing excess remaining skin. Prior to the operation, a medical consultation is conducted, during which the surgeon takes measurements of the thigh and also familiarizes the patient with possible skin incisions. If the thigh plasty is to involve only a small section of skin, the scar will appear only in the groin area. The procedure can be performed under both general and local anesthesia. An incision of a few to 20 cm (depending on the extent of the procedure) is located so that it is not visible with the normal position of the leg - it is usually made in the groin along the lateral edge of the pubic hair area and further down the inside of the thigh. Drains are left under the skin. The operation ends with the placement of a pressure dressing to prevent hematoma formation. The stitches are removed after 14 days. The thighs become slender, shapely and firm.

Within a few days after the procedure, the patient may complain of discomfort and pain requiring oral painkillers. Most bruising subsides within 10-14 days, while swelling persists for one to three months. Restriction of physical activity for about two months is recommended. A quick and smooth recovery is aided by our proprietary Comprehensive Perioperative Care program.

FAQ

Answers to frequently asked questions about a variety of treatments and procedures.

How to make an appointment at Dr Szczyt Clinic?

You can schedule a visit by calling 22 654 90 60 or via the website under Consultation appointments.

How do you choose the right treatment at Dr Szczyt Clinic?

The best way to choose the right treatment at a plastic surgery and aesthetic medicine clinic is to start with a consultation with a specialist. During the visit, the doctor will conduct a detailed medical interview, familiarize themselves with the patient's expectations, and assess their health and the specific nature of the aesthetic problem. Based on this information, they will advise on which treatments will be appropriate to achieve the desired results. The consultation also allows you to discuss the available options, their potential effects, and any possible risks, which makes it easier to make an informed decision.

What are the risks associated with plastic surgery procedures?

Every plastic surgery procedure, like any medical intervention, involves certain risks. The most common complications include infections, bleeding, reactions to anesthesia, and scarring. Less common complications include blood clots, pulmonary embolism, and sensory disturbances in the operated area. Proper preparation of the patient, careful qualification for the procedure, and the experience and professionalism of the medical team significantly minimize these risks. It is also important to follow the doctor's recommendations in the postoperative period, which allows for a faster and safer recovery.

Are aesthetic medicine procedures painful?

Aesthetic medicine treatments are usually minimally invasive and involve minimal discomfort. Most of them, such as injections or laser therapy, are performed using local anesthetics, which significantly reduces discomfort. Patients may experience slight pricking, burning, or tightness of the skin, but these symptoms usually disappear quickly after the procedure. If necessary, the doctor will always select appropriate pain relief methods to ensure maximum comfort for patients.
