The treatment is also suitable for people who have developed cellulite or sagging of certain skin layers. Needle mesotherapy can be performed on various areas of the body, primarily on the face, neck, clevage, on the inside of the arms or thighs, on the abdomen, as well as on the backs of the hands. The indication for the procedure is also a problem with hair loss or general deterioration of hair condition. Mesotherapy helps reduce fat accumulation in various areas, such as the chin area.
What does a needle mesotherapy treatment look like?
Needle mesotherapy involves using various preparations containing hyaluronic acid alone or combined with a vitamin cocktail, inorganic salts, caffeine, glycerin, or trace elements. Mesotherapy involves making punctures with a fine needle, but only in the superficial layers of the skin. A preparation appropriately selected to the patient's needs is injected into the cells. The punctures themselves are only slightly painful, but people sensitive to pain are additionally anesthetized with a special cream about 30 minutes before the planned procedure. Thanks to this, the needle mesotherapy treatment can be almost imperceptible. Puncturing may take 30 - 60 minutes, depending on the treatment area. After the procedure, the doctor protects the skin with a protective cream with a UV filter. Side effects of needle mesotherapy may include slight redness or small bruises, which disappear after a few days.
Preparation for the procedure
Before the planned needle mesotherapy treatment, it is not recommended to use a tanning bed or sauna. The greatest effectiveness is provided by a series of treatments, the frequency of which should be adjusted to the patient's skin condition and the intended result. The effectiveness of needle mesotherapy is visible already after the first treatments. The skin becomes visibly smoothed and oxygenated, regains its lost firmness.
What to do after mesotherapy treatment
After needle mesotherapy, sunbathing of the treated area should be avoided for several days and protective products with UV filters should be used. In addition, it is worth remembering standard care, focused primarily on moisturization.
Contraindications to mesotherapy
There are several contraindications to needle mesotherapy. The procedure is not used in people with allergies to the components of the injected product. Mesotherapy should also not be performed in pregnant and lactating women. Contraindications include: herpes, any kind of inflammation appearing on the skin, cancerous diseases, as well as the use of anticoagulants.
