For whom is needle mesotherapy intended?
Needle mesotherapy is a versatile treatment with a wide range of applications - it can be performed both preventively and therapeutically. It effectively improves the appearance of the skin on the face, neck and décolleté, but can also be used on the body - including the inner side of the arms and thighs, abdomen, backs of the hands or scalp. It is recommended for people who struggle with skin sagging, loss of firmness, cellulite, as well as excessive hair loss.
The treatment promotes natural cell renewal processes, improves microcirculation and tissue oxygenation, and reduces fat accumulation - such as in the chin area. As a result, the skin becomes tighter, more resilient and smoother, and facial features regain freshness and youthful contours.
How does the needle mesotherapy treatment work?
During needle mesotherapy, small doses of a preparation tailored to the individual patient's needs are introduced into the superficial layers of the skin using a very thin needle. The composition of the cocktail may include:
- Hyaluronic acid - intensively moisturizes and improves skin elasticity,
- Vitamins (A, C, E, B group) - promote cell renewal and brighten the complexion,
- Amino acids, trace elements, mineral salts - nourish tissues,
- Caffeine or glycerin - stimulate microcirculation and promote lymphatic drainage.
The procedure usually takes 30-60 minutes and is not very painful. For those who are particularly sensitive to pain, an anesthetic cream is applied about half an hour before the start to minimize any discomfort. Once completed, the doctor applies a UV-protective cream to soothe irritation and protect the skin from sunlight.
Immediately after the procedure, there may be slight redness, swelling or minor bruising at the injection sites - these symptoms resolve on their own within a few days.
Preparation for the procedure
Do not use saunas or tanning beds a few days before the procedure. The skin should be healthy, clean and without inflammation. For best results, a series of several treatments is recommended - usually 3 sessions every 2 weeks, then another 3 at monthly intervals, and then maintenance treatments 1-2 times a year.
The first effects are visible after just a few days - the skin becomes smoother, more elastic, and its color is unified. Over time, skin density and tissue tension also improve.
Aftercare
After needle mesotherapy, sun exposure, tanning beds and saunas should be avoided for several days. It is advisable to use creams with a high UV filter and moisturizing cosmetics. The skin after the procedure requires gentle care - do not rub it or apply makeup immediately after the procedure. Taking care of proper hydration and a balanced diet supports the recovery process.
Contraindications to needle mesotherapy
The procedure is not performed in pregnant and breastfeeding women, or in people with active inflammatory skin conditions, herpes or cancer. Allergies to the ingredients of the preparation and the use of anticoagulants are also contraindications.
