Effective acceleration of postoperative recovery
Every patient wants to return to normal activity and fitness as soon as possible after the surgery. It is important that post-surgery therapy is supported by complementary treatments, i.e.: accelerating wound healing and relieving pain. The described effects include conservative laser therapy, also known as biostimulation.
What does laser biostimulation consist of?
Laser biostimulation is a procedure, painless and fast, which involves irradiating the affected areas with a low-power laser. Laser light, which has long been used in physiotherapy, does not cause tissue destruction, but at the same time regenerates tissues and inhibits disease states.
To whom is laser biostimulation treatment recommended?
Some wounds are difficult to treat, among them are: bedsores, skin edema, frostbite, severe forms of acne, as well as muscle laxity - in these cases laser therapy is an excellent solution. Biostimulation laser is used in dentistry and rehabilitation - it has an anti-inflammatory effect and treats pain syndromes. The lack of side effects is an additional advantage. The therapeutic effects achieved by biostimulation are:
- Stimulation of metabolism, respiration and cell division,
- An increase in the immune system,
- microcirculation stimulation,
- increase in collagen synthesis,
- Facilitate and enhance the action of substances that retard skin aging,
- An increase in analgesic, anti-inflammatory and anti-edema effects,
- Positive effect on oxidative and regenerative processes of the skin,
- pain relief.
Concentrated beam
The biostimulative laser is a special device that emits a concentrated beam of light with biostimulative parameters. It contributes to acceleration of metabolism and stimulation of skin cells to form collagen and elastin fibers. In addition, it increases blood flow and helps in faster drainage of harmful products. Infrared laser beams deliver energy directly to the tissues, allowing for an anti-inflammatory effect that accelerates healing. After laser treatment, the immune system is stimulated, so the production of antibodies is increased.
What does the treatment look like?
Biostimulative laser therapy is carried out after cleansing the skin. The procedure is painless, however, in certain cases local anesthesia with a special cream may be used. The risk of side effects is reduced to a minimum if the procedure is carried out correctly. The effects can be noticed just a few days after biostimulation. The skin looks more uniform, elastic and, above all, healthier. Optimal results can be seen after a series of treatments.
Contraindications to biostimulation
The most important contraindications for biostimulation laser treatment are pregnancy, menstruation, fever or bacterial disease. The procedure is also not performed when the patient is struggling with diabetes, cancer and hyperthyroidism. In addition, one of the contraindications for laser treatment is a pacemaker.
